Larry Duncan originally founded Boat City on Rivers Avenue in 1970.  Throughout the years he brought thousands of families in the Lowcountry to the boating lifestyle.  In 1996, Larry's son, Jim, returned to assume the responsibility for the company after a successful engineering career.  In 2007, Jim purchased Duncan's Boats, located on the Ashley River in North Charleston.

Having achieved Marine Industry Certification and Brunswick Five Star Dealer Certification, we are committed to Larry's vision of continuing to help families enjoy SC's waterfront with ease of doing business and outstanding customer service.
